Who we are

Our village shop first opened its doors in 2010, thanks to the dedication of a group of local residents who were determined to bring a shop back to the community after all previous options had closed. You can read more about our story in our blog (coming soon).

We are a Community Village Shop, run by a volunteer committee who oversee the day-to-day operations. Our shop is staffed by a wonderful team of volunteers, all working together to serve the community. We have just one paid member of staff—our part-time manager, who works 15 hours a week.

Open seven days a week, we offer a wide range of essentials including newspapers, chilled and frozen foods, fresh fruit and vegetables, and everyday pantry items. We also provide home deliveries for villagers who are housebound or have limited mobility. In addition, we offer a dry-cleaning collection service, hot drinks, and a community notice board for local events and businesses.
